How long of a lease am I required to sign?

A month-to-month lease is all that is required. Fill out your contract with Mini-Me Storage and keep the unit by paying monthly until you no longer are in need of storage.

Do I need to provide my own lock.

You are welcome to use your own lock or you can buy one from Mini-Me Storage for $12.00. We sell (and recommend) a cylinder lock. They are nearly impossible to break into.

What security precautions do you take to protect my items?

Mini-Me offers an electronic gate with your own personal code for entry. The fence that encloses the buildings is six feet tall with an additional foot of barbed wire. We have bright white LED lights illuminating each of the buildings along with a security light high on a phone pole outside of the units. There are several security cameras placed in key locations.

Am I required to purchase insurance for unit?

Insurance is not required but Mini-Me Storage highly recommends that you insure your valued property with low cost renters insurance available through your own insurance company.

What forms of payment to accept?

Mini-Me Storage accepts cash, checks, credit/debit cards.

What types of documentation do I need for the lease?

Driver's license or other form of identification

What items are illegal for storage?

The leased space may be used and occupied only for the purpose of storing personal property and for no other use. The Tenant shall not use the space for the storage of animals, explosives, toxic material, items with a noxious smell, flammable material, stolen property,contraband of any kind or any other illegal items prescribed by law.

What are some helpful storage hints?

-Label all boxes on several sides for easy locations

-Seal boxes completely with packaging tape to keep out dust and pests

-Pack boxes snugly to prevent collapse when stacked

-Leave center aisle to easily access all items

-Keep items off the floor to allow air to circulate

-Place your most valuable items so they are less accessible from the entrance

-Use shelving to maximize storage space

-Spray furniture with good polish, and lightly coat exposed metal with oil

-Leave refirgerator and freezer doors slighty open. Store items inside to maximize space

-Most mattresses and couches, except sofa beds, should be stored on the end/far wall from entrance

-Wrap mirrors and pictures, never store them flat for risk of stepping on
